Welcome to the Good Shepherd Parish!

We are One Parish Worshipping at Two Sites

"We, the Roman Catholic community of Good Shepherd Parish, strive to be a living sign of Christ's love in and for the world. In response to our Baptismal call, nourished by the Eucharist and guided by the values of the Second Vatican Council, we seek to continue the mission of Jesus Christ by welcoming, supporting and guiding all through prayer, sacramental celebration, service and education."

Family Service Sunday and Volunteer Celebration
Sunday, April 30th 10:30 - 12:30 St. Ann Church

All GSP families come together to celebrate the end of our religious education year with a service project to care for the homeless in our region and a Mass and breakfast to celebrate the catechists who have given of their time to share their faith with our children.  We will be collecting items for Birthday Party Boxes for A Place to Turn in Natick.  The children will help to assemble the party kits that morning.   We will need a large supply of medium size boxes.  Please begin to collect them around your home.

Ideas for items- We are not asking for any family to bring all of these items.  Just bring what you can and we will combine them together to create our boxes.

Medium size shipping box, box of cake mix, jar of frosting, candles, wrapping paper, gift bags, ribbons, treat bags (perhaps filled with goodies), napkins, disposable table cloth, paper plates, plastic forks, thank you notes.
Any other items that you think would add to a child's enjoyment of their day
.

Crayons, markers and wrapping paper will be provided to decorate the box filled with a birthday!

We will be celebrating and thanking our catechists and volunteers.  It would be wonderful if you could contribute to our brunch.

When We Need God’s Love Most

When do we need God’s love most? Of course we need that love every second of our

lives. But at times God’s love is especially precious to us, times when we lose a loved

one or when life becomes so confusing that we do not know where to turn. At times like

these, it is very important to have someone who cares. Our parish has trained 10 Stephen

Ministers, lay people who offer a ministry of Christian caring within our parish and

beyond.

EXTEND THE INVITATION

“Come and see” was the invitation Jesus offered to a few men of Galilee who were interested in knowing more about him – who he was, where he lived, what his teachings were about? This same invitation we extend to adults who have not been baptized or who have been baptized in another faith tradition but are interested in the Catholic faith or adults who have not received First Holy Communion or Confirmation. Please share this invitation with family members, neighbors or friends. Questions? Contact Sister Roberta at rrzeznik@goodshepherdwayland.org or 508.650.3545.
