"We, the Roman Catholic community of Good Shepherd Parish, strive to be a living sign of Christ's love in and for the world. In response to our Baptismal call, nourished by the Eucharist and guided by the values of the Second Vatican Council, we seek to continue the mission of Jesus Christ by welcoming, supporting and guiding all through prayer, sacramental celebration, service and education."

Bristol Lodge Service Trip

We have a great community service opportunity at Good Shepherd that's coming up soon! Our parish's youth are going to Bristol Lodge, a soup kitchen in Waltham, MA on Friday, February 17. Bristol Lodge provides meals on a daily basis for approximately 75 people in need, among many other services. This will be a powerful experience and a great chance to get involved. We will meet at St. Zepherin Center at 3:45 pm to leave! We will drive together to Bristol Lodge, serve the meal and then return. We're going with middle and high school students, and we need adult chaperones, too. Hope you can join us! Spots are limited, so if you're interested in coming, please contact Tom Jackson (tjackson@goodshepherdwayalnd.org) soon!

Stephen Ministry

When We Need God’s Love Most

When do we need God’s love most? Of course we need that love every second of our

lives. But at times God’s love is especially precious to us, times when we lose a loved

one or when life becomes so confusing that we do not know where to turn. At times like

these, it is very important to have someone who cares. Our parish has trained 10 Stephen

Ministers, lay people who offer a ministry of Christian caring within our parish and

beyond.

To find out more about Stephen Ministry or to receive a Stephen Minister’s care, call

EXTEND THE INVITATION

“Come and see” was the invitation Jesus offered to a few men of Galilee who were interested in knowing more about him – who he was, where he lived, what his teachings were about? This same invitation we extend to adults who have not been baptized or who have been baptized in another faith tradition but are interested in the Catholic faith or adults who have not received First Holy Communion or Confirmation. Please share this invitation with family members, neighbors or friends. Questions? Contact Sister Roberta at rrzeznik@goodshepherdwayland.org or 508.650.3545.
